Your Tankless Water Heater And Emergency Plumbing Needs

Tankless water heaters are an excellent option when you use a lot of hot water in your home. When you have a hot water tank, eventually your hot water will run out if you use it continuously. A tankless system heats water as it is needed, and doesn't cost as much to heat water as a traditional tank. Cold water travels to the heating element in your tankless water heater and supplies you with hot water as it is being used. You aren't going to have to wait around for your hot water tank to fill back up again, and it is going to cost you less money to have hot water in your home.

When Your Hot Water Runs Out

If you run out of hot water and your tankless water heater is not working, it's time to contact an emergency plumber to figure out what is going on. First, you should make sure if you are using too many hot water applications at the same time. Your system can produce roughly 3 gallons of hot water a minute, which makes taking a shower easy. Too many hot water things going at once can cause a problem.

If the Air Supply is Blocked

You aren't going to get hot water if there is an issue with the air supply or exhaust in your tankless water heater system. This can be a fire hazard, and it's important to contact a 24-hour plumber when you get an error message on your tankless water heater system. You can try checking the vents around your unit to see if there are any nests or small rodents, as this can be the problem causing your air supply to be blocked.

Ignition Problems and Your Tankless Water Heater

If your water heater won't ignite, you aren't going to have any hot water. This could be due to a lack of fuel, issues with the gas pressure, or your gas and water valves may not be open all the way.
